MARSHALL, Texas- On Friday evening, the Cavs (1-2-1, 0-0) played on the road for the first time this season, and were taken down 2-0, by Wiley College (Texas). The Wildcats (2-1) were able to score one goal in both halves of the game, and they were able to hold St. Gregory's scoreless through 90 minutes.

Dwight Pope scored the Wildcats first goal and Luis Pena Marquez scored the second goal to put away SGU for good. Erik Reyes and Wesley Whitt each played one half in net for Wiley College, and each goalie saved all three shots on goal that they faced, to earn the team a shutout.

Ruben Basurto (SR/Mexico) led the Cavs with two shots on goal, while Leslie Feh, Ricardo Vargas (SO/Oklahoma City, Okla.), Gabriel Martinez (SO/Clinton, Okla.), and Frank Molina (JR/Houston, Texas) each had one shot on goal. Declan Simpson (SO/Moreton, England) saved four of the six shots on goal that he faced. 

The Cavaliers will now prepare for another road game on Wed., Sept. 13, when the Cavs face Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kan., at 7:30 PM.
