MARSHALL, Texas- The Cavaliers (2-2, 0-0) fell in their first road game of the year on Friday afternoon, when they were held scoreless by Wiley College (1-2). Wiley College was able to pull out a 1-0 shutout win, thanks to the lone goal scored by Miguianne Boldrin, and a shutout performance in goal by Natalie Martinez.
The Wildcats held the Cavaliers to only one shot on goal in the entire 90 minutes of the contest, and the Wildcats were also able to generate 12 shots on goal. The Cavs lone shot on goal came from Veronica Trujillo (JR/Mckinney, Texas) in the first half. Mallory Adams (SR/Edmond, Okla.) once again played solid in net for the Cavaliers as she was able to stop 11 of the 12 shots that she faced, improving her save percentage to an impressive .900 on the year so far.
The Cavaliers will be back in action on Wed., Sept. 13, when they play at Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kan., at 5:30 PM.
