SHAWNEE- St. Gregory's University (8-4, 0-1) came into Thursday's game with a four game win streak, but the Oklahoma City University Stars (5-4, 2-0) put an end to it. The Stars played very well in the match and only needed three sets to put away the Cavs (25-20, 25-18, 25-22). Every time the Stars pulled out to a big lead, the Cavaliers would claw back and get within a few points, but it was too little, too late in each set.

Oklahoma City was led by Marijana Bjelobrk's 13 kills, and Holly Randall's 10 kills on offense. Sanja Vojnovic had an outstanding game by assisting on 32 of OCU's kills. Dani Chase and Stefani Nell each collected 18 digs for the Stars, which led all other players in the match.

St. Gregory's was led by Gabby Ware (JR/San Antonio, Texas)'s 7 kills, and she also added 8 digs in the match. Sunny Clark (JR/Dublin, Texas) led the Cavs in assists with 10, and also led the squad in aces, with two. Kayley Davis (SO/Irving, Texas) led the Cavaliers with 10 digs on defense, followed by Krystal Lopez (JR/El Paso, Texas)'s 9 digs.

The Cavaliers will be back on the court tomorrow night (Fri., Sept. 8), when they face one of the new members of the SAC, Central Christian College in McPherson, Kan. The match is set to start at 7 PM.
