SHAWNEE- The Cavaliers (1-1-1) picked up their first win of the season on Friday afternoon, as they took down Doane University (1-2) by a final score of 2-0. 

St. Gregory's grabbed the lead at the 18 minute mark of the first half, when Leslie Feh scored his first goal of the season, on an assist by Frank Molina (JR/Houston, Texas). The Cavs would take the 1-0 lead into halftime. After the break, SGU was playing well and in the sixteenth minute of the second half, Frank Molina scored to give SGU some insurance late in the game. Molina's goal was made possible thanks to a pass from Ruben Basurto (SR/Mexico).

Declan Simpson (SO/Moreton, England) picks up his second shutout of the season, and he improved his save percentage to an incredible .966. Simpson has only allowed one goal out of the 29 shots that he has faced.

St. Gregory's will now prepare to face Wiley College in their first road game of the season, next Friday, Sept. 8, at 5 PM.
