OKLAHOMA CITY- On Tuesday evening the Cavaliers (20-12, 14-8 SAC) fell twice to No. 1 Oklahoma City University (44-0, 18-0 SAC). The Cavs lost a 1-0 heartbreaker in game one, and then fell 7-2 in game two.

The only run of game one came when Laci Joyner drove in Samantha Stallbaumer in the bottom of the third inning. Bryn Houlton (JR/Savanna, Okla.) pitched a gem for St. Gregory's. Houlton went all 6 innings, allowing just one run on three hits, while striking out two batters. Lauren Miller (JR/Blanchard, Okla.) went 1-2 with a double and Ashli Hafford (JR/Blanchard, Okla.) went 1-3 with a single.

In game two, the Stars struck first by scoring one run in the bottom of the second inning. The Cavaliers tied the game at one in the top of the fourth inning, but then OCU grabbed a 3-1 lead in the bottom half of the inning. The Stars added two more runs in the fifth inning to make the score 5-1. SGU managed to get one run in the sixth, but then Oklahoma City scored two more insurance runs before holding the Cavs scoreless in the seventh inning. Bryn Houlton went all 6 innings again for St. Gregory's. Crystal Pablo (SO/Gallup, N.M.) led the Cavs at the plate with a 2-3 performance with one RBI. Jessica Nelson (JR/Lewisville, Texas) and Lexis Young (FR/Mustang, Okla.) each added one hit a piece for the Cavaliers as well.

St. Gregory's will be back in action on April 24 when they head to Central Baptist College in Conway, Ark. The double-header is set to begin at 12 PM.
