MCPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson's Brooklyn Coe hit the game winner with three seconds left, and the Bulldogs rallied late for a 57-55 win over St. Gregory's Saturday at the Sport Center. McPherson improved to 4-1 with the victory, while the Cavaliers dropped to 2-3.

Coe's bucket capped a frantic comeback for the home team, which overcame a nine-point fourth quarter deficit. SGU's CheBria Porter nailed a three-pointer with 5:48 remaining to give the Cavs a 53-44 lead, but McPherson would score 13 of the game's final 15 points to stun the visitors.

SGU had an opportunity to tie the game, but Chelsea Exum's attempt was off the mark as time expired.

The Cavs' Kylee Tatum led all players with 18 points on 5 of 17 shooting. Kelsie Howgard posted a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double. Exum tallied nine points and nine boards.

Isabella Bacon paced the home team with 15 points on a 4-for-5 night. Brooke Zimmerman had 12 points and eight boards.

SGU shot 35 percent from the field compared to 31 percent for McPherson. The Bulldogs had a 51-42 edge on the boards.

The Cavs resume play Friday at Panhandle State. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. in Goodwell.
