CHICKASHA – USAO's Thais Silva recorded her third hat trick of the season, and the Drovers routed St. Gregory's, 9-0, Friday night in Chickasha. USAO, which improved to 7-1 at home, snapped the Cavaliers' four-game winning streak.

In a battle for the third seed in next week's Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament, USAO set the tone early. The home team scored six times in the opening half and outshot SGU, 11-1, in the period.

Silva, who finished with three first-half goals, scored 10 minutes in from the right side of the box before connecting again in the 21st and 31st minutes to make it 5-0. USAO extended its lead to seven early in the second half when Bianca Cardenas found Kayle Moore in transition.

The Cavs tallied six shots for the game, led by Abi Housecroft's three attempts. Keepers Jena Flewelling and Mallory Adams combined for six saves.

SGU (9-7, 5-4 SAC) opens SAC Tournament play next Friday in Shawnee as the No. 4 seed. The Cavs' opponent will be determined later this weekend.
