SHAWNEE – Sabrina DeSantiago and Christian Arbuthnot led their respective teams Saturday at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational. The meet was hosted at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee.

The women's team finished 11th overall, paced by DeSantiago's 19:33. Running in her first event of the season, she came in 28th out of 138 athletes. Teammate Alexis Gee was 19 seconds behind DeSantiago at 19:52 – good for 37th overall.

Posting top 65 finishes were Alexas Vargas (20:29, 56th) and Cathy DelReal (20:42, 64th), while Kathleen Joyce (21:25, 91st) and Sophia Weisbruch (21:53, 99th) broke the top 100. Rounding out the times for the women's team were Adriana Garza (23:47), Darian Hargis (26:00) and Zyanne Baxter (26:14).

The men's team finished ninth overall, led by Arbuthnot's time of 27:00. The freshman from Goodwell placed 26th out of 88 runners.

Blake Crouch came in second among his teammates, posting a time of 28:21 for a 49th-place finish. Jose DeOchoa was 20 seconds behind Crouch at 28:41 to finish 56th. Cracking the top 70 were Kris Parker (29:39, 67th) and Matt Leedy (29:42, 68th).

Rounding out the times for the men's team were Luis Lopez (31:20) and Julian Gomez (32:50).

St. Gregory's competes in the NAIA Mid-States Classic October 22 in Winfield, Kan.
